I have a beautiful cabinet with mirror doors covered with fret work. Problem , no easy way to clean the mirror, have to take the back of the door off to get at the mirror. I’m afraid to do this in case I strip the holes. Would it be better to permanently install a small butterfly clip to make it easier next time.
Any suggestions as to what type I shout use.
very much appreciated in advance of your help.

You might want to provide a photo of the back side so we can see what you've got to work with.
direct your google or other search engine to picture frame glass and you may find what you want.
Because this is a door which moves, you will want to choose based on size or put a lot of them in.
I would suggest using some threaded inserts into the frame and using small screws thru the back panel into the frame. For example:

I will try the “glass retainer clips” from my google search. Thank you all very much.
The right fastener really depends on the material you're working with and the load it needs to handle. For structural applications, I usually work with coated or stainless steel fasteners to prevent corrosion. Always match the fastener type to your project's specific needs for long-term durability.
