I am remodeling a bathroom that had mudset tiles. It looks like there were two mudbeds set on top of red clay fire bricks. The top one came off with an air chisel, and the lower one seems intact. The problem is that the surface is still kind of rough. What do I do?
The options that I have thought of are:
1) Set a 1/4″ layer of durock on thinset, then tile that.
2)New mudbed. (I don’t really know how to to this.
3) Chisel down another layer then 1/2″ durock.
Help!!!!!!!
