Just wanted to clarify something. It is a great idea to use a track saw when cutting decking and wanting it to be straight. But I don’t see it being needed with constructing the frame.

I never used one on a deck. The little Festool could make you faster at trimming joists, but if you only do a few decks, it's not worth the money.
