I’m currently finishing a room in a new house. The owner wants run beadboard around the entire room about 40 inches up capped with a chair rail. However, she wants to keep the current 3/4″ bullnose corners that make up the closet area. I have some ideas about how I might do this including running a strip of roundover trim on top of the bullnose, but I don’t think that will look too good. I was also thinking about running some of the beadboard around the corners mitered at 22.5 degs. and just cap it with the chair railing she wants installed. I would appreciate any other suggestions from those who have done this in new house construction. Thanks in advance.

Boy Russell, I think I would mill up a piece of bullnose to apply over the existing and run the beadbrd into it. You could bead the edge of the new bullnose as well. You will also have to mill up a radius for the rail.
I don't see mixing bullnose with miters, that is like stripes and plaid.
*I am currently doing a house that All the outside 90 corners are bullnose. The 22.5 degree angles work great. I will post some close-up pictures tomorrow. we are running different kinds of base, chairrail and crown. Besides for the piece trim tex makes to accomadte these, 22.5 degree angles and a piece in between is the best solution I have found.Billy
*Billy,Lookin forward to your pictures. It sounds like you might have some of the same problems I have.russell
