Nice work. My question relates to tools. What do you use to nail the trim to the exentsion casings? I have a feeling my 18Ga is too light and I should use 16. Brands? I use a Senco 15 Ga for the trimmers and that is no problem. Thanks
Dennis

Hey Joe, I'd like to say nice pictures too, but I get no details. What size monitor do you view on. Mine's 16"
*Netscape, and what's an auto load? I think those three inches may be the difference. Just curious, but what did your clients want to do a faux finish fo'? Round here those fancy daubers are much more expensive than wood, and sometimes, even more than stone.
*BucksnottI've only got a 15" monitor, and have no trouble viewing Joe's lovely work (Netscape too).I've never been one to think that size is important, but that's an easy philosophy when, like myself, you speak softly and carry a big stick, or is that schtick?? Wasn't it one of your phamose yankee ho-hums that coined that phrase???b Live better elastically.
*Joe,How much time, how many square feet?Jack : )
*Joe, would this auto load thing be in my netscape preferences? I'm not seeing it.I'm a trim guy, so I would like to see a bit more detail here. And, Patrick M., if I'm from the north or snott's none of your beeswax.
*B.B.Would that be north as in above or below the Mason -Dixon line? You'll have to excuse a poor dumb Canuck for forgetting that some of you all are still a might sensitive to all that . . . a hundred and how many years later???
*OK, Joe, I am getting your images (my loader thingy was turned on) just no details. I'm pretty good at imagining ( just not imaging) though.Padrick M., I am a northerner who's been living in the south for 25 years, so I've got no sensitivity on that account. Still can't stand grits, and have got no use for the rebel flag, or, them what flies 'em. It's the snott you managed to get on my name. It's snort, man, snort! It's not nearly as messy.
*Dear BuckshotThei snottthing started out as a typo, but it looked so darn silly just sittin' there after I posted, that I just had to leave it there. Friday night i kick-backswill cloud yer judgement every time. My compliments on your gratious sense of humour!!! You musta learned that in the south???
*Joe -- a substance question -- what can you tell me about the framing and finishing of the ceiling in this picture (below)? I really like the look.View Image

Hey andrew d,
I'd be careful now, posting that picture. Are you sure you didn't pirate it or better yet, steal it form Joe Fusco's web site? This action according to Freddy Lugano's last post amounts to stealing!! Maybe after reading this he'll realize just how ridiculous that statement is. Well, knowing Freddy, I doubt it. Does anyone know why his posts keep disappearing? Maybe it's because their ridiculous too.
Everyone's not a Freddy Fan.

Damage Control, could you please stop trying to bait everyone into an online brawl again. They've all made the effort to be civil to each other and the rest of us thank them. What possible purpose could what you're doing serve.Breaktime is a nice place to come lets keep it that way.Vince
*Vincent,I second, third, fourth and fifth the motion,Please, Please, Please, lets keep the civility effort improving. And my thanks to all that have added to courteous debate especially Lisa, the star of nice comebacks.Politely,Jack : )
*Thank you, Joe. I'd love to get some more detail -- it's little accents like that people notice, not square yards of drywall. And no one appreciates framing, no matter how ingenious.Incidentally, for whoever "Damage Control" may be (to shy to use your name?), I didn't copy anything. All I did was insert an HTML reference to the picture's location on Joe's site. So there.
*1.6 mil?Must be paying a premium for all those terrific "views"!Nice casework to frame the neighbors houses, though.
*Penny wise and pound foolish. I'm surprised that the owner wouldn't pay to fix the R.O. window spacing with the eyebrow+casings -- those units probably cost a couple thousand, right? Fixing the framing might be a couple hundred?Nice recovery with the trim, though, Joe. No one realizes how important trim is to the effect of the window -- they just think windows are for light and looking outside!Speaking of which, the neighbor's houses don't look very ... attractive. I like the bars over the windows on one neighbor -- only in NY will people pay to live in jail cells. maybe the owner should have gone with small windows, or given the neighbor's houses a face lift.
*That's why I left New Jersey 8 years ago and never looked back. It's all I can stomach to visit relatives for the holidays.Steve

Walter R,
How is some of the trim work that my partner Victor and I are doing now. I believe that they are interesting enough to give you some ideas on how you would like to trim your home.
These are all Poplar mouldings that will be painted and faux finished.
Please give the pictures time to load.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.

*Joe,once again nice work and great pictures. It all looks crisp and clean.I'm not sure I like the mix of crown and arch though, you're idea or someone else?Vince
*Joe I can't tell from the picture, does the arch window casing continue all the way up or does the crown return into it.Vince
*Joe, Thanks for the response.. You've given me some great ideas..
*Thanks Joe,the picture says it all.Vince
*Joe,I like the look very much. How many pieces make up the casing and what components (casing, backband etc) are used? Thanks.Larry
*Joe, I'm beginning to suspect you and Victor are using more than the pocket knife and rock you claim as your only tools! Very nice, and innovative.
