My wife wants to enlarge the master bath by incorporating part of a hallway into it, resulting in a bathroom with two doors about 14 ft. apart. I’ve lived in places with two door baths, and I think they’re a real pain because you have to lock both when you enter and unlock both when you leave. And you can’t walk thru when it’s in use. Yet you do see lots of new places with this kind of plan. I think it’s a big mistake, what do you think?

I agree with you John but we might be in the minority. I just drew a proposed design that removed that very situation and added a hall back in but the owners didn't go for it. some comments I heard led me to beileve that it was partly a lifestyle thing. Some people never close the bathroom doors except when they have company.

Space is great in a bath. I built one with 2 doors and it makes it very nice to access the b-room w/o having to wrap your dupa. Ours is attached to the Master Bedroom and the hall. The users tend to each have their own level of decency. I wouldn't have it any other way.
