The mechanic seized the man’s left leg below the knee. And it came off. The prosthetic leg, which police said had no straps, was a below-the-knee piece that fit over the stump of the man’s lower leg — and could easily betugged off. So could the man’s pants, which quickly came down.
“So there he was,” the manager said, “a one-legged man wearing nothing but his boxer shorts, hopping through the snow.” The other man was already behind the wheel of a parked van, waiting to pull away.
“Once we realized what happened, (the mechanic) stood up and had the leg in his hand, and we couldn’t help but bust out laughing.”

Don't tell me the case was thrown out of court because he didn't have a leg to stand on.
