Does tyvek housewrap last long if left exposed? The manufacturer says it can be exposed for 120 days. Does this repel water drops and let water vapor pass through? Any suggestions or experiences with tyvek or other types of housewrap? Thanks.

*Dupont would certainly like us to think think that water travels only one way through their blindingly white billboards. I have left it exposed for maybe 60 days, no problems and use it as a primary water proof barrier in conjunction with Ice-guard flashing around all windows and doors as detailed in NH of about a year ago. I'm confident that it will last longer than the tar paper I pull off 30 year old houses.
