Worked a swap with my tile guy. He installed the one inch white hexagons I wanted on the bathroom floor of my rental for a pile of cedar clapboards he wanted. Looks great.
Turns out these are UNGLAZED tile. I am now worried about upkeep. (You know how tenants are). I have sealed them three coats with tile sealer, but I am still unsure if that will work. Is there something else I can do to treat the floor before I turn the renters loose on it?

Cover it with wet cow manure for a week or two. After that the tenants won't be able to do a thing to hurt it.
You are a genius.
put something in the rental agreement, you send someone in once a year to re-seal it ..
Are these unglazed ceramic, porcelain, or stone? We install unglazed natural stone tile all the time. You have to be careful what kind of cleaners you use, anything aciding will cause problems, but if you keep it sealed it's not that bad.
ceramic
If these are Dal Tile, they are fairly indestructable. I would be more worried about the grout. I would want to have them cleaned once every year or two.
Unglazed is usually porcelain. If so, it's pretty indestructible.
