First time on this discussion group but not new to Taunton though. I have all issues of Fine Woodworking and nearly all issues of Fine Homebuilding.

Is there any product on the market that one could apply to old faded vinyl siding to renew its color? I would prefer this to “painting” vinyl siding.

Mind you, I’ve seen siding that an acquaintance has painted over 4 years ago. He tri-sodium-phosphated the vinyl to prep it, used Bulls-eye 1-2-3 primer by Zinzer Corp and then followed it with two coats of high quality latex paint. I check it every Spring, we get pretty rough Winters in Canada but so far it looks freshly painted.

I would still prefer some sort of vinyl refurbishing product than paint.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
