I used to be “carpenter in progress”, but they didn’t allow me to use it during change.
Anyway, doing a log home addition, original house has vinyl soffit. To match up w/ house , rafters had to hang out 18″. I can’t find any supplier that carries vinyl soffit any wider than 12″. Any know of any sources, or ideas on how to use 12″ w/o too much more “reconstruction”. I’ll try to find pic. that will help. Thanks for any info.

why dont you run it the way its supposed to be ran,cut your panels at 18 inches?
we regularly do over hangs 24-36" usually if greater than 24 we run another nailer down the center so you dont get the sag
instead of doing this ==== you do it like this !! !! !!
closest thing i could find on the keyboard to a straight line
Thankyou; I'm just an idiot. Went to yard and saw what they had. Never used the stuff before: I'm used to a couple boards and vent strips. I'm a work in progress.
Thanks again.
