Paneling ideas? I’d like to find a decent raised panel wainscot solution that would be easy to install and not too expensive. Don’t want to go with Beadboard… already too much of it on this project. Don’t care if it’s mdf, mdo, gypsum, solid wood etc, just want it to look good when painted, and have the option to trim it out with base and nosing. I thought I’d seen some products in FHB and JLC but can’t find them now. Anyone install anything that they liked?

Having a shaper and too much time, I have made my own raised panel with a top rail and mop board cap. Looks good and if you don't bill yourself for your time it is not to costly.
I have been able to do a nice looking job using molded skin doors. You have to lay-out the wall so as to use the size of panels that are available. Usually can find fake 3 panel doors that I can break apart and get at least 4 panels (front and back of the door). Make a style and rail of 3/4 material and use a small molding to cover the joint.
