I’m tearing out the horrible wall paper in my bathroom and using Diff to remove the glue residue. I’d like to TSP to wash the walls down before I paint, but the person who originally did the work did not prime the sheet rock. I’m don’t want to get the sheetrock and mudded seams to wet with TSP solution. Can I just prime over the top after using Diff, should I go ahead with the TSP wash, or should I skim coat it with new mud and then paint. Some of the walls need to be touched up with mud, and a large hidden hole that was behind the wall paper need to be repaired anyway. Any help would be great so I can get it over with and start doing the fun parts of the remodelling. Thanks.
