I’m planning to repair a home’s plaster walls using a technique described in FHB some months back. After the existing walls are cleaned-up a little bit, an adhesive ‘fiberglass mesh’ is applied to the wall to span cracks. Then the walls would get the finish coats. I just can’t believe the prices, contractor prices mind you, that I’m getting for the fiberglass mesh product. For the 36″ wide rolls of fiberglass mesh the cost is at about $100 for 150 ft. A few years ago you were able to get this at $25!
Anyone, esp. those who works in this as a specialty, know of a good source/supplier? Looking for wide rolls so that it is less time consuming to install.
