In the Jan 2020 Issue 288 “Know the Code-Top Ten Water Heater Violations”, the article states the TPRV must discharge in the same room. My water heater is in the basement, a note on the final inspection stated the TPRV needs to be vented outside. Which is correct and can some one give me a plumbing code reference from 2013?
