i have a problem with water filling up the concrete area (c. 8′ x 8′) of my crawl space during steady rains. the dirt area behind the concrete section stays dry. my water heater is directly on the slab, which seems to have been incorrectly slanted. it actually peaks in the middle of the crawl space, slanting down towards the front and the back (i.e., the water heater). the pilot light used to go out regularly until i surrounded the heater with a couple of layers of foil. how can i fix this problem. the crawl space is in the lowest part of the house, but the water can’t get out unless i bail it out by hand. the damp must and mold seem to be getting worse and this area is located directly under my bedroom. thanks for your help.
