I’m about to lay a deck with Weatherbest composite decking (customer’s choice). Does anyone who has used this product have any tips or suggestions? I live in Southeast Alaska.

I’m about to lay a deck with Weatherbest composite decking (customer’s choice). Does anyone who has used this product have any tips or suggestions? I live in Southeast Alaska.
Skim-coating with joint compound covers texture, renews old drywall and plaster, and leaves smooth surfaces ready to paint.
