Weaving Hardi-Plank Corners- Anyone???
I’m planning on weaving Hardi-Plank (7” Reveal) corners on a flaired bump-out this week. Anyone done this with any success? Any suggestions? I’m planning on using Geocel caulk to seal the seam. Any good ideas for fine-tuning the exposed edge? I’m also flirting with the idea of using those pre-bent metal siding corners. Any experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am not real familiar with hardiplank (we're stiill in the ice age and use wood) but it seems that this is not a proper technique with that product.

I did it with Hardie ShingleSide. I alternated the overlap, and made a cutting jig for each affected course. The angle on the first course is going to be more acute than the angle on the next course, and so on. To find these angles, I mocked up the corner with some scraps and measured with a sliding bevel. It really wasn't a big deal.
