I’m installing a number of wooden windows w/ brick mold and am wondering what the function of “window wrap” is. I’ve covered the sheathing with 30# felt, wrapping it over into the rough opening. I’m using a high grade caulk between the brick mold and the tar paper. Is window wrap redundant in this situation? To me it seems preferable to caulk directly to the felt instead of interposing a layer of polyethylene film. Also, if window wrap is used, how exactly does one cut/fold it to get complete coverage of the corners of the rough opening? Thanks!
