GREAT QUESTION!
what do you have to say FB? This is ridiculous. Every page, every time you hit enter. Very annoying.
I agree. Makes me not want to read the discussion forums!
Wow, that’s all it took?
I don't see anything.
Thanks for listening
Hello Cal...
the pop ups just degregated..
or is that "disintegrated"...
Whoa,
Blast from the past!
tol'ja the popups sunk to new lows
who is still around besides you???
How's Mr. Pif???
Go here to find what’s left of the menagerie:

There’s a thread on Piffin. He had “some work” done. Smitty is doing well, tho don’t post. Look around, you’ll get the stories. You might get the bug again and join in.
Hey, dude! You're still kicking!
Nice to see your handle again. How are things?
kicking might be a stretch...
other wise - fine...
who else is still here???
why doesnt the forum get more postings? seems it would be more popular , not critism, just wondering as I like it
Having been on here since the late 90’s, I’ve seen several forum changes as well as many people come and go. Started reading FHB with issue 9. Somewhere in one of the issues I noticed Breaktime, an online forum.
Now, I think you’d be hard pressed to find a mention of a forum in the printed mag. So that might explain the lack of readership here.
Historically, every change in the forum software or whatever it’s called, was met with an exodus away from the new system. Often folks would return and new would join and this would evolve again into a pretty vibrant info swap shop.
We old carpenters often refuse any change in the way we’ve always done things. Not everyone nor everything, but this seems to happen occasionally.
Then there’s moderators and stubborn members. It got to the point where the battle against change of Breaktime’s long run fizzled out. Think of the old forum title. Breaktime. A time and place for those of us in the trade to BS.
No boss, no homeowner, just us knuckle dragging nail pounders. Crude language, sure. Occasionally things got too heated and faceless members could go too far. Not enough bandwidth for a punch in the mouth.
Poorly written and economized considering the couple decades but maybe you get the idea.
Made many friends and learned a lot here.
edit: The real shame? The loss of so many pictures and easy to follow thread layouts that held so much good information. Same goes for the bylines and history of attributed threads that gave you a look at each members qualifications.
I was having that problem when using Chrome. You're supposed to get the popup once per session only. I checked with the web guy at FHB, and he couldn't figure out what was wrong. I changed to whatever MS is calling its browser these days and the problem went away.
