I am a builder in Storrs, CT and I have a floor in a new house that seems to have more “bounce” than you might expect (at least the owner sees it that way).
The only different feature of this floor system is that the joists are supported by top mount joist hangers attached to a steel beam (2X on top of the steel beam).
Does anyone have any knowledge of top mounted joist hangers contributing to the bounciness of a floor?
