I have a new house that is 2 years old. The problem is with my Anderson Hi Performance windows. I choose 60/40 double hung windows for our house with the Anderson storm screen combination which added a hefty extra couple of hundred dollars per window. The storm windows are prone to condensation (living in Wisconsin this freezes) on the glass between the storm and window, usually on the upper part of the window. Often I can’t see out the window unless I squat to see though the lower of the double hung window. Some windows are completely covered with frost and we can not see through them at all for days on end. My builder has not wanted to touch the problem. I called Anderson help line and was told to add weather-stripping around the storm but they didn’t say this would be a cure- just it may help some windows. I am not crazy to go to each window and add something the factory should have considering the price. I am mad that I have went through the extra expense of Anderson storms which sound like they have limited, if any benefits, only to receive for my efforts frosted windows and a huge outlay of cash. Does anyone have experience with this problem?
