I am getting ready to build a 60ft. x 42 ft. x 12 ft. pre-engineered metal building to be used as an office and need to figure out what type of windows to use. Does anybody have any experience with using Vinyl windows on a metal building? I would like to avoid aluminum if possible and wood clad is really out of my price range. The front of the building is going to have a brick fascia with four picture windows and the rest of the building will be metal sheeting with nine 3 ft. x 4 ft. framed openings.

Has anybody here ever put windows in a metal building? Will vinyl get to hot next to metal sheeting? Are the commercial aluminum windows an efficent choice? Anybody ever used woodclad windows in a metal building?
I would think somebody here would have some experience with metal buildings.

So nobody has ever put windows in a metal building?
Never.
But I'd bet the people selling you the building might have a suggestion or two.
Every metal building website I've looked at has options for trim, doors, windows, insulation, whatever they can think of.
