I have finally had it trying to maintain my wood gutters and am seeking the FINAL SOLUTION, which does not include ripping them out! I have already tried:
-tar in the corners
-epoxy in the corners
I have been recommended to line all my wood gutters (the profile is entirely exterior) with copper or lead coated copper, which seems like an attractive solution. However, someone warned me of moisture developing between the metal and the wood. I don’t understand why this would happen, but would love anyone’s input on this issue and the overall problem of how to prevent wood gutter corners from leaking.
A response would be greatly appreciated!

Moisture between the wood and copper won't be a problem if the metal is installed correctly. The copper needs to be installed so it wraps over the front edge and the back or extends up the fascia to under the roofing material. Good luck.
Additionally, weep holes should be drilled in the wood gutter.
I've had pretty much equal success with epoxy or copper linings
