Hello, I have been seeing more houses being constructed with the Zip-system panels here in Oregon. My concern is what I am seeing is the panels are being secured with 6-8d “brights”. Since these panels are a weather resistive barrier, is there any concern with corrosion of the fasteners being of any issue? I would think since the panels are a part of the structural (lateral bracing) the fasteners should be corrosion-resistant.
The manufacturers info I have read-over says nothing about the fateners needing to be corrosion resistant. What say you?
Thanks MUCH!

i am also in a maritime climate and can't imagine not using corrosion resistant fasteners. I use ring shank galvies.
Did my first Huber Zip this winter and was impressed! Positively.
