I took a narrow galley bath in a turn-of-the-century house in Lubec, Maine, put in when plumbing moved indoors by sticking it in a corner by the chimney, barely a functional space, and opened up an adjacent small sewing room, creating an airy open bathroom that looked out over the Bay of Fundy, and was a pleasure to be in.
