Georgia-Pacific Offers App for Panel Products

Georgia-Pacific Wood Products has developed an app for iPads, iPhones, and Android devices designed to help builders choose the most appropriate structural panel for the job in front of them.

The GP Panel Guide app is a free download available at the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

"This app is perfect for answering customer questions and helping with product selection in the store aisles, on the job site, in the dealer yard, or at home," GP senior marketing manager Jeff Key said in a news release.

The app has two sections, applications and products, so users can browse either by where the panel is going to be used or by its brand name. Applications include roof, wall, and floor sheathing as well as interior panels and exterior siding. Each product summary includes specs, installation tips, warranty information, and third-party certifications.

And if you want a reminder on how to read the APA grade stamp, you'll find that as well.
