Our Spanish style house is 80 years old and did not have a master bath.
With attention to space and planning we were able to use the space from one bath along with a large hall closet and bath linen closet to add a master bath.
The results are a two sink master bath and a smaller hall bath.
A major concern was that the two bathes would feel small.
Our solution was to have one shower accessible from either bath. Utilizing double frameless glass saloon doors that opened up the space and made the bathrooms feel large.
We used your last year’s magazine for our vanity design. And the vanities add to the larger space look and feel.
Bath Remodel Challenges:
- Upgrade a bath with old dingy stall shower and old bath tub.
- Create an enclave off the master bedroom with a two sink design.
- Maintain the integrity of the main house floor plan not disturbing the bedrooms.
- Work with small spaces to have an open and bright enclave and a hallway bath.
Bath Remodel Solutions:
- Start with a design app that allowed us to try many designs.
- Incorporate vanity ideas from last year’s BH&G Magazine.
- Custom made vanity frames to meet space code requirements.
- A unique shower design assessable from both baths.
- The large frameless saloon doors created an open and spacious design.
