We had purchased this antique 100 year old oak fireplace after we purchased our first home. We just thought it was a cool piece of furniture. Years later, our first daughter started taking piano lessons and we found out that as a piano, it no longer functioned well. The guy who tried to tune it suggested that we turn it into a bar. Not being a big drinker, I decided to try a fireplace conversion. Spent about a year finding the right unit to fit in decently. Removing the piano innards proved to be the biggest challenge.
