Easier to use and better looking
comments (0) November 10th, 2009 in Project GalleryWe recently remodeled our kitchen. Architects Adrienne Winner and Roseanne McGrath designed the layout, but my wife designed the island and I built it (cherry with walnut inlays). The top is recycled glass (Vetrazzzo Alehouse Amber with patina). Top is keyhole shaped - 8' long 2' wide with a 46" diameter seating area at the end. The kitchen isn't huge but the island allows ample storage space (6 -24" wide drawers) with plenty of room to move on either side.
