I was recently building a house using I joists for the floor system. I usually cut my joists and blocking with a normal circular saw as the blade is just big enough to cut all the way through, but this requires the use of a large quick square, and some awkward line drawing many times. So this time around, I cut my blocking out of offcuts using my tablesaw and it worked perfectly, and it saved me a lot of time and hassle.
