Historic Living Room

I recently finished a shoot of the oldest home I have ever photographed. Built in 1740, North Point Plantation has been lovingly restored into a wedding and event destination in King William, VA. Much of the home is original and the current owners have done an amazing job in keeping with the historic theme. This shot of the formal living room is one of my favorites. I love the symmetry in the architecture and the quality of light. The home is actually very narrow, so the rooms feel very bright, especially for an old home that historically are very dark.
