I am repairing a 1920 shed to which I added a facing pole shed in 1985 making it into a horse barn. See attached diagrams in the thread below.
There is some sill rot. What is the best way to remove old sills and tie into existing sills that are still good. Are there altenative suggestions? I don’t want to go with a complete new foundation but come up with a fix that will last.
I would like to open up the old front wall and get better access into the “old” part of the barn other than through the 8″wide existing opening. I would need to remove some or all of the 2×4 studs. Would adding a microlam under the 4×4 plate supported with additional 4x4s next to where they already exist support the load? The span would be 10′ between the corner and 4×4 where existing opening is now. Any suggestions would be welcome

Bud- You put your attachments on in Bitmap instead of jpeg so they are to huge for the dialup patrons of the forum.
Irfanview is a downloadable program a lot of posters use to size their attachments.
A search for Irfanview will bring up a lot of old threads describing the how-to.
Thanks for your conversion to jpeg. I will download the image conversion utility and use it in the future... didn't realize the files were so large
