2005 tacoma lumber rack

Hi —

I’ve just bought a 2005 Toyota Tacoma as a replacement for my ’00 Tacoma. I’m in the process of having my steel lumber rack modified to fit, but I’ve started wondering if the new composite bed and seemingly thin fender metal will support the weight of a loaded rack. Does anyone have any experience with or input as to the durability and/or strength of the new bed?
