The house we’re renovating is a former two-family, which we’re turning into a single family. Since each unit had two zones, we now have a house with four zones, two upstairs, two down.
We have the standard (at least here in the Northeast) heating system of forced hot water with an oil burner. Each zone is now controlled by the classic 24V round Honeywell mercury thermostat.
Rather than run around at night turning down all the thermostats (my wife will be only too glad to run around in the morning and turn them all up), I’d like, if possible, to be able to install a sensor in each zone and then control each zone from a single panel.
I’m assuming with today’s technology, this can be done, but where to start? And does anyone have experience with this kind of system?

You could install 4 programable thermostats, save the running about untill you want to make a change in the program.
