I am installing a new kitchen counter top. It is ” L ” shaped, 110″ X 115″ with a two basin corner sink. I ‘m planing on a 45 deg butt joint for the laminate but I’m concerned about getting a good match.
any suggestions on how to cut for a good fit? The substrate is in place and the hole for sink is not yet cut. Will it better to cut b4 or after?
My plan is to use a router with a flush trim bit. Any ideas on making a jig to get a better cut on that 45 deg cut?
TIA, Pebbles.

Cut it after you make the joint.
Thanx BigBill, I appreciate your insight. Pebbles
I don't like joints under sinks. They have a short lifespan. Have you considered a butt joint? Order a 10' x 60" piece of laminate and make the 2 pieces butt on the factory cuts
Thanx PeteVa, I appreciate your time, Pebbles.
I sure wouldn't put that joint at (or even near) the sink.
Thanx Dave45, I appreciate your help, Pebbles.

I don't think you've been around here too long, unless it was under a different name, but we have a fellow doing a house and he's posting the whole thing. His name is Mike Smith, and the Post is "Adverse Conditions". He's one of the best builders around here.
He's working on the countertops on the house this week, and I just posted a nearly identical question to him this am. Check out his thread. Might be fun.

Where are you located? You haven't filled in your profile - shame on you. BTW, not trying to get personal, but are you female? (I have a cousin in law that uses the same nickname.)
I hope you saw Buic's suggestion on the laminate joit in Adverse. I may be trying out out in a week or two. Probably use a sled.
