I am renovating my attic, adding a shed dormer to run the length of my house. Before I put down a subfloor, I would like to add vents for central air for the second floor. I do not want to spend the money now for central air. Does anyone know if one can add the newer ductless vents without purchasing an ac unit and put the vents and tubing/hoses in themself? Where would I purchase these?

I don't know if you have checked, but a lot of new installations are of the Panasonic "Slim Jim" style of AC units.
