It’s an old story for architects and builders but there’s a new urgency
for me because I’m re-doing my own kitchen. I don’t have a ton of money or a ton of space, so I am looking for a stove that’s usable by a serious cook. There seems to be a huge empty space between the four-thousand-dollar megastoves that my clients want (to heat their takeout food) and the Hotpoint/GE/Magic Chef tinny stuff pushed by all the appliance stores. Anyone know of a showroom with lots of samples of reasonably priced models? One local place I went to claimed there was no such item when I asked to see something I found on the Amana website.
Or how about used appliances? Why can’t I find a remodelers network unloading good stuff torn out of remodel jobs?
I’m in the NY Metro area, where I thought I’d be able to find anything and everything, but I’m running into walls. By the way, ebay was no help.
