Seems like trim kits are only offerred on the higher priced lines. Refrigerators in particular seem only available in the fairly unattractive textured finish if you don’t get a trim kit.
Anybody have any experience with aftermarket kits if the box you want doesn’t have a OEM kit? Or if you want to trim out an old unit? Or with fabricating a trim kit? Or even direct laminating a wood, metal or plastic laminate directly to the appliance?
TIA, Scott

Scratching my head, wondering why the textured finish on a refrigerator is "unattractive." Seems I can recall the shiny finishes with their fingerprints and smudges -- now that WAS unattractive. Always use steel for a refrigerator front, or else the magnets won't stay on. We now have a fairly useless dishwasher magnet that indicated dirty or clean dishes, now that all DW models seem to have plastic door trim.
*Close the detergent dispenser every time you empty out a clean load. Then it is easy to see whether the dishes are clean (dispenser open) or dirty (closed).Wood (oops Would) like to hear more about appliance trim, though -- have considered inserting oak veneer in dishwasher panels...
