Put "italian roof tiles" into Alta Vista, and you'll get numerous European manufacturers. I imagine they can give you import sources.

Jeff,
I'd use domesticly produced tiles as they are less costly, better made and readily available. I suggest you look into Ludowici as a manufacturer. They produce countless styles and colors of roofing tiles and trim pieces.

As luck would have it, I am going to Italy & Sicily this July. For a couple grand I am sure I can find you some roof tiles and mail them back to you.
Io ho tempo se tu hai deniro. Ho bisogno molto francobolli e una busta grande.... MOLTO GRANDE!

*Jeff, there's a place in NC, called The Tile Man, Inc., that has lots of tile and slate, new and used, and they do work all over the country. They may be able to get what you're looking for, since they also have something called Vintage Service, where they do tile and slate "searches." I've only been to their website, but it's worth it just to look at the gorgeous photos!i http://www.thetileman.com/I found this site through i http://www.oldhouseweb.com/when I was looking for info on replacing some of the slates on my roof; Old House Web had lots of info on historic slate and tile roofs, too. Of course, I like Pete's idea the best, as far as a way to get tile - except you should tell him that you need to actuallyi seethe tiles. Of course, if you are unable to go to Italy, I will be happy to go as your emissary. : )Good luck!Patty
*P.S. Pete, youi knowSean said no dirty talk on the boards!
*Once again, brilliance has shined upon me. We can all go to Italy for the First Annual 1999 Breaktime Get Together. Somebody tell Adirondack Jack. The chances are pretty slim that they will go through all the trouble to extradict any of us back there later for alleged misbehaviours in the rare event that some should come to be.Patty and I can go ahead of you all and get things ready. Of course we would volunteer solely because we care that much about all our dear friends on Breaktime.Ciao, Pete Draganic
*Hey JEff,I would love for you to post some pics of the house you are building.Pete
