Hey guys,
Does anyone know of any web sites specific to construction, tools, material reps, etc. jobs? I’ve been surfing but haven’t found anything thats any good. I kept hearing monster.com was THE place to go but its quite a joke. A lot of the jobs posted are for temp services and the discussion board is just a bunch of kids hanging out being rude and useless. The board is nothing like the high quality, informative ones here.
I must just be getting old???
Thanks for any info.
Mike

*MikeSonny reconmended housing zone.com, check them out also professional remodeler mag. i think you can get links to them from housing zone.
*mike.... move to RI..i'll put you on...
*Ron, Good call. I'll check it out.Mike Smith, Thanks for the offer but the new house will be finished around January and the wife has 14 years at her position so relocation is not an option. But I sure do like your part of the country! Can I telecommute?Mike
*sure.. i'll even let u use our autohammer...
*Mike, You should see me cyberhang drywall. 20-25 sheets per hour. Its really quite impressive!Mike
*Mike Smith how close to CT are you I've got family in Ledyard, bout an hour out of Providence. Things are slow here and sister-in-law says I can sleep in my nephews bedroom if need be. Andy mentioned you might be looking for some help. What the heck I'll even bring a set of wall jacks.jim
*jim..u'd better check with cadioli if ur thinkin of workin with me... Ledyard is where Mohegan Sun is.. about an hour down 95...lots of guys from RI commute to Electric Boat in Groton,CT.. so , it ain't too bad...email me ... but leave the wall jacks in CO..
*How come everyone wants to work with Mike? Can I talk anyone into siding a house in Wisconsin in December?
*Are you kidding ? Did you even look at the pictures of when Mark Cadioli was there 'working' with him ? 3/4 of the time Mark was just leaning on a shovel, or holding down a boulder, or holding up a wall. Working with Mike is obviously a very cushy job.b : )
*Boy that sounds inviting. Low temp, low pay, good company..........hold me back honey, I'm off to Wisconsin.
*keep talking calvin & i'll join you .. always wanted to learn ICF's in the dead of a wisconsin winter..hey, dawg... where do we sign up ?
*good company?? Is Dawg's wife on the jobsite?Rich Beckman
*and those were the bad times!.....for a start we never commenced work before the crack of noon. Then Mike calls a cab and takes the whole crew out to lunch. After lunch, a mandatory 1 hour nap is declared. At this point a vote is taken on whether to start work for the day. The choice is either to start work, or play golf the rest of the day ( on full pay of course )....Mike was always very carefull to get his clothes dirty before he went home though.
*exactly, mark... that's just the way i remember it too !amazing what those elves could do in our absence...
*Mike I'm loading the tools and clubs in the truck as soon as I finish this post see you soon!Jim ;)
