I’m almost ready to buy my nailgun, am leaning toward the Paslode PowerMaster Plus, read some reviews, talked to some guys who use and repair them, all had positive comments. Now being the frugal individual that I am, I’m looking for the best price. The “Nail Zone” www.nailzone.com has good prices, will ship for free and no sales tax! Has anyone bought from them, if so what is your opinion of them? Also, feel free to suggest other online dealers that you have high regard for.

I bought 2 Paslode nailguns from Nail Zone, they were shipped promptly and received in excellent condition. Prices were good too!
Bought my 18 gauge trimpulse from Nail Zone. Got it when they first came out. I generally like to buy from someone local, but, when the local dealers said it would be a couple months before they got the 18 gauge guns, I ordered one from Nail Zone. Good price, arrived in good order and on time. No Complaints.

I bought a Senco brad nailer from Nailzone--received it promptly. Of course, I then saw it at a lower price on Amazon, so I emailed Nailzone and they immediately credited me the difference. I'm sure if you see a lower price elsewhere, they will match it.
I bought some staples from NailZone as I couldn't find a local supplier that handled the particular size I needed. Their price was about half of what the only other price of that item on the web that I found. However, NailZone doesn't have free shipping on staples. The box of staples was $13, the shipping was $10.03. Still, I would guess that the total price was less than what I would have paid had I actually been able to find someone around here who would have special ordered them for me. NailZone was surprisingly quick on getting them here. It was a completely hassle free order. I would definitely order from them again, although if the rise in gas prices translates into increased shipping prices as most analysts project, I don't know that I will be able to afford to have anything shipped....
I agree, the shipping costs on heavy items like nails, etc. make it less attractive to buy online. The only reason I bought my nailguns from them was that I paid no shipping or sales tax, they were on sale too. I like to buy locally as well, you can build a strong relationship that way. I bought a Husquvarna chain saw from a small dealer who has been around forever. I was in the middle of a job and the saw quit, but it was not the saw's fault, I did not take it in for service when I should have. I told the guy my dilemma and he let me borrow a saw. I'm looking for another saw, where do you think I'm buying it?
Sounds like a good source from the postings. One area to ponder though, parts and service.
I have an IMT that I've abused, dropped, and repaired for 3 years. I go to a local contractors hardware to get the parts that shake loose or break. They stock it all and I get 2.5mm x10mm cap head screws (holds the finder in place on the gun) for $1.25. Specialty parts are there and reasonable. I even stopped in when they had an open house where Paslode reps did a full refurb for free and I was treated to a free lunch to boot.
My point is I saved 15 bucks by buying it at the box store and these people hav been supporting me ever since. Yes it is the best of both worlds but If I did it over I'd have bought it where they take care of me. If we don't support those who support us then they disappear from the market. The day could come where these guns are like the VCR you now buy... no user servicable parts inside. We'll just trash em and buy another.
In a more pragmatic vein, the 1.25 screw that the mailorder could supply you will include 9.00 in shipping by the time it hits your doorstep.
Your absolutely right about being able to get parts & service. That's one thing I checked out before buying, if I could get service locally. I have 2 places locally that sell & service Paslode guns. I will buy nails nails from them to keep in good standing. The only reason I did not buy the guns locally was the damn sales tax, would have added over $32 to the total price! When I saw shipping was free, I was pulling the credit card out!
