I was curious if anyone out there has used a roofing product called “Acrymax” by Preservation Products (Media, PA). I’m looking to use it on a flat roof in place of EPDM, which according to the company will work fine. Anyone have any experience with the product (good or bad)??
Thanx.

Jim - Acrymax is an acrylic roof coating system for recoating tin roofs. You can click here for a case study. I'm using it on a project just going into construction and spoke to the homeowner (Fleming) featured in the "This Old House" segment - product is working fine.
Replacement for EPDM? I haven't heard that one - my understanding is that it is a coating system.

*That was my understanding of the product also (treatment for metal roofs). In talking with the manufacturer a few months ago, they said that it could be used over a sturdy wood deck, as a replacement for EPDM. I believe the re stated that they wanted at least a 3/4" roof deck, treat the seams first, and then continue coating the entire deck. Basically, that's why I asked the question... to see if anyone had used it in this manner to make sure that the manufacturer isn't blowing smoke up my butt. Of course the minimum I'll do is ask the manufacturer this same question again, to make sure I didn't get hold of an under-informed, over-anxious to sell sales person. Than!
*I don't know your application, did you look at this?.
