A few years ago I had bought some elastomeric acrylic products to repair a metal roof deck. The company that sold it (Polar) also sold a paint primer that essentially seemed to be a thinned down version of the roof paints.
I had a 5 gallon bucket that lasted through a few troublesome jobs (vapor problems & latex over oil) it was great stuff, but the company may no longer be in business, or at least the phone number I have is out of service.
Anyone know of this type of stuff? I may buy a similar roofing product and thin it with water if I can’t find another source.
I refuse to use oil and I can attest to the effectiveness over the past 5 or 6 years on previously problematic locations.

I don't have any experience, but have been searching websites for elastomeric roof info.
One of the products - and I'm sorry I don't remember which - did say to thin down their product with "1 qt of water for every 5 gallons, as a primer."
Other products were clearly not water soluble and this wouldn't work (one of them used vinegar as a catalyst, another used peroxide.)
