Can anyone help me in my attempts to attach a photo in jpg format to my e-mail replys on this forum. I follow the directions but when I hit upload nothing happens – thus no picture.
Thanks.

Skim-coating with joint compound covers texture, renews old drywall and plaster, and leaves smooth surfaces ready to paint.

once you hit upload, depending on the size it can take awhile.
Try again and wait a few minutes, say 2 or 3 and see if it will then attach.

I quit. Thanks for the advice.

After you hit the download button, move your cursor up to the upper right hand corner of the screen and you'll get the hourglass while it loads....eventually, the name and size of your attachment will show up, the hourglass will go away and you can hit "done."
"95 k took me about a minute on high speed connection."
That's an oxymoron right? While broadband uploads slower than down, (typically 256kps up, and 350kps-4500kps down) 1 minute for a 95k file upload? That seems like a long time. 100k up usually takes me no more than ~2-5 seconds (cable modem). Are you sure that you are properly configured with that "high speed connection?"

Oh that's a loaded question.
I'm no expert on 'puters. I just bought a new 'puter and the TV out has no color.
I bought it to be able to watch DVD from the computer but this is just totally frustrating. I have an ATI 9000 pro with TV out. I've tried reinstalling the drivers.... yeah right!!!! I've tried most everything I can think of. Anyway I'm happy with my connection right now as it is faster than the last type I had. 36 bps phone hook up.

I was happy too with my 300Mhz PII built by the local computer store about ~4? years ago with a dial up. Then my fiance' insisted we buy a new machine (Dell 8200) AND get a cable modem. The difference was like going from a model T to a Corvette. I have friends that have cable modems also, but hooked up to slower machines. BIG difference. There is a site called PCpitstop that will do a bandwidth test for you. That would be a good starting point to see where you are at. Note however that speeds vary a lot minute by minute. If I can dig up the hyperlink after I post, I'll edit it in.

The "sandbox" area was created so everyone would have a chance to practice stuff like this. You might try going over there and experimenting a bit.
