Hello All, I should have asked all of you before we did this but I’m hoping we didn’t screw it up. We had an area (8′ by 10′) that was 7 feet deep in our garage to backfill. We tried to use a jumping jack every foot of depth that we filled. The fill was all damp pitrun. Our neighbor came by just as we were finishing and said that we should have compacted every six inches. We are still going to put down 4″ of crushed 3/4 gravel that we will compact before putting the cement slab. Should I be worried…should I put extra rebar in the slab?
