Make soup.
I hear in china it's a delicacy.
: )
*I know, but I'm not guano tell you.
*Match.
*You could just get a couple barrels of bat disinfectant spray, a couple bat pizza's and a case of bat pop and you and Robin and Batgirl could have a cleaning party.Or maybe as Hennessey was hinting at, you could just ignite the bat torch and flame away !!!Hmmmm, it seems like you always have just the thing you need in that handy dandy bat utility belt of yours, it's kind of surprizing that you can't find anything now.....If all else fails, you could try some bat lemon sudsy ammonia on the stains. Hint: let it bat soak in...How about coming back to this same bat forum, same bat thread and letting us know what you decided to bat do, when you're bat done !!
*luka your batty...
*lol Doug, and isn't he lovely? You two could go on stage!
*yes he is. Mom always liked him best...
*ROFL stop!!!! Let's just add my bro to that, (Mom always liked him best, too)--Marx Bros reincarnate!(Do you or did you ever like the Firesign Theatre?)
*Clothespin.
*Angus,There are commercial products available for removing animal urine odor from carpeting and hardwood flooring, etc. They'd be available at most any pet store. The rub...first, I'm not sure how effective it would be on bat guano. Second, you'd be needing a product like this in quantity, and third, for the volume you need I'd think the price would be quite high.Give a few calls around to a zoo. Also try an insurance agent who should be able to set you up with someone who does repair work for them (odor/smoke removal, etc), or also try at a pet store. I'm mostly guessing, but if I had your problem I'd give it a shot.Sorry I can't be more help...Mongo
*Well, I don't know a whole heck of a lot about bat guano but I do hear it is worth money (seems odd doesn't it?). I would assume that much guano has to have penetrated the attic flooring quite substantially and would think that the flooring should be replaced. Just cleaning and covering it up may work until that first hot and humid day.Pete

Since bat crap is full of ammonium nitrate and urea
there is an explosive potential there in your cache. Find out the name of a land grant university in your state and call the cooperative extension agent in your county. Bat crap was "mined" in New Mexico just for that purpose. The common belief is that bats hang upside down while at rest. So when they take a dump where does it go? Is that why they always look S--- faced?
*Beats me. But I do have a question. How did this dump (pardon the pun or should it be pile?) reach the 500 pound mark before you decided to get rid of the odor? Maybe you could just put it back. Just kidding. I feel your pain. From the clothes pin of course.

500 pounds of bat poop, Holy Shit!
Seal all penetrations with foam. Vent like hell. Never go up there again.
*Bat Stink?Holly Shit Batman!Well, go to your utility belt, and retrieve some Bat Deodorant and spray it! If you are out, ask Alfred to re-stock the belt from the Bat Cave.
*Kai- I have never seen it.
*I would think pete is correct. Replace the flooring.
*I think you are ALL Bozos on this bus!
*I only know of them as comedy recording artists. Perhaps you had to be there at the time. Haven't heard them in ages.
*Well, I can only answer for myself :)
