I need to replace my bathroom roof vent, it was installed wrong before I owned the house. After doing research on this site a few people recommended Broan. I am looking at this model http://www.broan.com/display/router.asp?ProductID=2925. I am concerned that it does not have much height for a snow cover, (I’m in North Jersey). My roof is a 12/2. Will this model be OK or does anyone have any other recommendations ?
Thanks in advance for you input.

The problem that I see is if that is mounted on a "12/2" that it would have a valley on the high side that would be a drainage problem.
With a 12/2 roof, wouldn't an outlet that is designed for wall outlet be better.
Pb, thanks
That is a problem now. The water got under the shingles up hill of the vent. Would a flat roof vent be better?
Wow did I misread that.
I was thinking 12" of drop of 2" travel------ oops.
Yes a flat roof vent cap would be better for a small pitched roof.
You didn't misread it was mis wrote I think.
model 611 is for low slope roofs
that's the only one we use

3/12.....12/12......21/12... works great.... sometimes we repaint them to coordinate with the roof
did we decide if this is a low-slope roof or a high-slope roof?

you may or may not have to build a curb to mount it on
i think you can download the instruction sheetMike Hussein Smith Rhode Island : Design / Build / Repair / Restore
Thanks Mike,
They have a model 611cm for curb monut. Which one do you think I should use?
i'd build a curb and bring my flashing up to the top , then use the (CM) flanged model down over the curbMike Hussein Smith Rhode Island : Design / Build / Repair / Restore
