Sorry about that, but I have a question about a concrete issue that requires a sketch or two to illustrate what I am trying to do. Does anyone know of a convenient dropbox where I can post these pics?
Thanks,
Joe

You can post them right here. It's a little obscure, but you use the "attach files" button at the bottom of the editing window.
I'm not sure, but I don't think we get to attach anything to an edit - only on first post

Oh, you mean on re-editing a post?? By "edit screen" I meant the screen where you type in the contents of your post the first time. I guess I wasn't clear. You're right -- you can't add a file with the "edit" or "revise" button or whatever it's called, though you can delete them.

we still have the sandbox.BOB is always right, ALL HAIL BOB
Since you are just getting started here, you may be viewing the posts in basic view but you need advanced view to be able to do the attachments I think.
Scroll this message list all the way to the bottom of the page and you will see a chice to check between basic and advanced. Chose yourself the advanced.
Then when you make a post, the "attach files" button should appear beneath the message window box
