I was wondering if anyone knows of a base that one can set there portable belt sander into. It would come in rather handy on many projects.

I just take my OLD rockwell, turn it upside down and set it on a sawhorse. The handle end hangs just over the end of the horse. A quickgrip clamp is used to clamp down the rear handle. There's enough flat on the top of it that it doesn't rock. Bag hangs off the side of the horse.

What brand? Some manufacturers make 'em, some don't. Bosch and Dewalt do.

That would be the PC 3x21. Now that I have been contemplating this a bit more this morning rather than on the job site when I need it at the moment.I can make something up that I would like. Be just more convenient to purchase.
I sawed some 2x lumber to make a cradle of sorts that allowed a PC 3x21 to be used on its side. Butted to a laminated counter top scrap as a table. I made it so the sander was angled and the wole width of the belt could be used.
Sorry I don't have a pic, it was in the shop fire and I have yet to replace it.
Thats as close as I have come to doing what you want.
